How God Reminded Me that his presence reaches farther than mine ever could
You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.
Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock.

Reflection
This weekend, my daughter and I traveled more than 500 miles from Georgia to Canton, Ohio to visit my SonShine! As a mother, especially after experiencing the heartbreaking loss of my youngest son, there are moments when fear quietly tries to settle into my heart. Being so far away from him has often caused me to wonder if he was truly okay.
But this weekend, God gently answered a prayer I have prayed countless times.
Watching my son in his home, seeing the man he is becoming, and witnessing the life he is building brought a peace that only God could give. In that moment, the Lord reminded me that while I have faithfully prayed for my son every day, He has been faithfully watching over him every moment.
God showed me that surrender is not giving up–it is trusting Him enough to release what I cannot control into His capable hands. When Iaid my fears at His feet and continued to pray, He remained in complete control all along.
This week, I am reminded that God’s protection reaches farther than my presence ever could. His love surrounds my children even when I cannot, and His faithfulness is greater than any distance between us.
If you are carrying the weight of worrying about someone you love, I pray you will find comfort in knowing that the God who watches over them never sleeps, never grows weary, and never leaves His children unprotected.
❤️ Living it out
God’s faithfulness is not limited by distance, circumstances, or the things we cannot control. Whether you’re praying for a child, a spouse, a family member, or a close friend, remember that the Lord’s presence reaches places yours cannot. Just as He reminded me that He was faithfully watching over my son, He is also working in the lives of those you love.
This week, choose to surrender one specific worry to the Lord. Instead of allowing fear to take root in your heart, replace it with prayer and trust. Every time that worry resurfaces, remind yourself that the Lord is already holding what you’ve placed in HIs hands.

Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Lord, today I choose to surrender every worry, fear, and burden that I’ve been carrying. Forgive me for the moments when I’ve allowed anxiety to overshadow my trust in You. Help me to remember that You are already working in ways I cannot always see.
I especially lift up my children and the people I love. Guard their hearts, protect their minds, direct their steps, and surround them with Your presence wherever they may be. When I cannot be with them, remind me that You are. Strengthen my faith to trust that Your plans are always greater then my fears.
Teach me to release what I cannot control and to rest in the peace that comes from knowing You are always in complete control. May I continue to grow in faith, trusting that Your love, Your protection, and Your promises never fail.
Thank You for showing me that surrender is not a sign of weakness, but an act of faith. As I begin this new week, help me to walk confidently, knowing that You are holding both my future and the lives of those I love securely in Your hands.
In the Mighty name of Jesus, I pray.
Amen.
