☕️ Over Coffee Today
This morning, I found myself sitting in my prayer closet with my Bible, journal, and a hot cup of coffee, reflecting on how often we long for certainty. We want to know how situations will unfold, when prayers will be answered, and whether the difficult seasons we’re walking through will ever change. Yet, as I sat quietly in God’s presence, I was reminded that faith has never been about having all of the answers–it’s about trusting the One who does.
Over the past week, God has been teaching me that choosing peace is a daily decision. It’s choosing to rest in His promises when my circumstances remain uncertain. It’s surrendering the burdens I was never meant to carry and believing that even when I cannot see His hand at work, I can always trust His heart.
“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trust in You.”
– Isaiah 26:3 (ESV)
🌸 Reflection
Peace is something we all long for, yet we often search for it in the wrong places.
Sometimes we believe we’ll finally have peace when circumstances improve, when relationships become easier, or when life begins to make sense again. But God’s peace doesn’t depend on any of those things. His peace is rooted in His unchanging character.
This past week reminded me that there are many things I cannot control. I can’t change another person’s thoughts, erase someone else’s past hurts, or carry responsibilities that belong to God alone. As difficult as that realization has been, it has also been incredibly freeing.
The more time I spend in prayer, the more I realize that God isn’t asking me to have everything figured out. He’s asking me to remain close to Him.
There is a quiet confidence that comes from opening His Word, pouring out my heart in prayer, and writing down what He is teaching me. Those moments don’t always change my circumstances immediately, but they always change my perspective. They remind me that God’s presence is greater than my uncertainty and that His peace is available even when my questions remain unanswered.
Choosing peace doesn’t mean pretending everything is okay.
It means deciding that even when life feels uncertain, God is still worthy of my trust.

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for being my source of peace when life feels uncertain. So often I find myself searching for answers when what I truly need is more of You. Help me to release the burdens that weigh heavily on my heart and trust that You are already working in ways I cannot yet see.
Teach me to quiet my mind, rest in Your promises, and remember that Your peace is not dependent on my circumstances but on Your unchanging faithfulness. As I spend time with You each day, continue transforming my heart so that I reflect Your peace in every season.
Thank You for never leaving me, never forsaking me, and always walking beside me.
