Before the busyness of the day begins, there is a quiet invitation waiting for us. Long before the notifications, appointments, and responsibilities demand our attention, Jesus simply asks us to come and sit with Him.
There is something special about opening God’s Word with a warm cup of coffee in hand and allowing His truth to settle into our hearts before the world begins to speak. These quiet moments remind us that our identity is found in Christ, not in our accomplishments or our to-do lists.
Even if you only have a few minutes each morning, make them count. Read a passage of Scripture, whisper a prayer, and allow God’s peace to prepare your heart for whatever lies ahead. The time you spend with Him will strengthen you far more than another hour of sleep or another scroll through social media.
📖 Psalm 5:3
“In the morning, Lord, You hear my voice; in the morning I plead my case to you and watch expectantly.”
REFLECTION: What would change in your life if you chose to meet with Jesus before meeting the demands of the day?
🩷 Prayer
Lord, help me seek You before I seek the opinions, distractions, and demands of this world. Quiet my heart and teach me to treasure Your presence above everything else. Help me begin each day with Your Word and Your wisdom guiding my steps. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
